Over the last year I have been developing my interest and learning about astrophotography.  All the images on the calendar were captured using my telescope and camera from my back garden here in Scarborough.  The images include galaxies and nebulae and are classified as Deep Space Objects (DSOs).  Some are shown in their natural colours but some of the nebulae are coloured using what is called the Hubble palette.  I've included the name and catalogue number for each DSO and a quick visit to Wikipedia is a good starting point to learn more.
 
I'm a big rugby league fan and was deeply moved by Rob Burrow's battle with MND and the amazing strength and resilience of his family.  And who could not be amazed by the super human achievements of Kevin Sinfield to raise money and awareness of this cruel disease.  To try and help a tiny bit, I've produced a calendar for 2026 with some of my favourites images and hope this might be a useful stocking filler for Christmas whilst raising a little bit of money for this cruel disease.
 
I'm paying to produce these myself and also covering the cost of postage and packaging so the £10 from each sale will go directly to the MND Association.
